The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council has facilitated India’s first jewelry exports by way of courier mode from Mumbai. Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC, highlighted that enabling exports by way of courier mode will open doors to new markets and expand the value-added exports from the sector. This transfer has the potential to cut back prices by up to 70% in comparison with cargo mode and facilitate the entry of jewelry businesses into e-commerce.
